”KRÜMELMONSTER” BREAD BIN FOR MITHEIS AUSTRIA

The ultimate bread bin.

Developed in 1993 by German industrial designer Tassilo von Grolman and Upper Austrian company Mitheis, this bread bin is the epitome of technical, functional, and design quality. Based entirely on the principles of carpentry, the mechanism itself is impressive – The roll-top automatically opens when the cutting board is pulled out. The cutting board features an integrated compartment for a 33-cm-long bread knife. A crumb tray is fitted under the cutting board and can also be opened separately. Made from pear wood, the meticulously sanded inner parts are untreated, while the outside is varnished. Sturdy handles made of matte chrome-plated steel.
